Welcome to the Portland Metro Chapter

The goal of the Portland Metro Chapter is to provide the opportunity for members in the Greater Portland and SW Washington area to remain current on the vast and ever changing requirements and guidelines of insurance billing through the use of an extensive network of established billing professionals, mentoring programs, continuing education seminars and workshops with insurance providers.

We welcome your membership to our diverse community comprised of independent billing services, clinic/hospital billers and those billing from home. One of our best resources is our combined network of knowledge and the ability to share and learn from all our members.

As a member, you will be able to access answers that are tailored to our area, not just the generic national guidelines. We may not tell you how to install your billing software, but we may have a seminar on what is new in billing software. The opportunity to be invited to preview an insurance provider’s new product with other members may allow you to better understand those features unique to billing that product that no pamphlet can provide. These are just a few of the benefits of membership with the Portland Metro Chapter of the AMBA.

We currently need volunteers for open positions on the Board and to assist with the membership drive.

Membership Information and Fees

You must have a National AMBA membership to join. Fees are paid annually.

$99 for an individual

$199 for a business account for up to 3 members

$40.00 Annual fee for joining our local chapter
